A slightly odd cake

Saturday was Tom's 15th birthday and he requested a slightly unusual cake - a cat litter tray! The sponge was baked in my roasting pan then turned out to cool. I sliced through it and layered it back together with raspberry jam before returning it to the roasting pan. I covered the top with buttercream and then covered it in crushed biscuits mixed with melted butter. The poo was made from coloured marzipan and I added a (new and clean) litter scoop to complete the effect.
